The Observatory participates in the 57th session of the International Human Rights Council at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva
The delegation of the International Observatory for Documenting Human Rights Violations participated in the fifty-seventh session of the International Human Rights Council at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, which began on 9/9/2024 and continues until 9/11/2024.
The Observatory was represented by colleagues: Counselor Ihan Jaf and Counselor Ahmed El-Zanati.
The Observatory delegation stressed the importance of promoting human rights, suppressing wars, and bringing those involved in gross human rights violations before international justice.
The agenda for the session held in Geneva and being discussed includes:
1 – Organizational and procedural issues.
2 – The annual report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the reports of the High Commissioner and the Secretary-General.
3 – Promoting and protecting all human rights, civil, political, economic, social and cultural, including the right to development.
4 – Human rights situations requiring the Council’s attention – Afghanistan/Sri Lanka, Independent Investigative Mechanism on Myanmar.
5 – Human rights bodies and mechanisms
6 – Universal periodic review.
7 – The situation of human rights in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories.
8 – Follow up and implement the Vienna Declaration and Program of Action.
9 – Racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related forms of intolerance: follow-up and implementation of the Durban Declaration and Program of Action.
10 – Technical assistance and capacity building.

(The International Observatory for Documenting Human Rights Violations), is an independent Argentine international center, registered in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Argentina, as a non-governmental, non-profit organization, working with the aim of defending human rights and documenting violations around the world. It was established on the tenth of December 2015, and obtained the license Official from the Argentine government in the year 2021. The members of the observatory cover their activities in 64 countries.
We are a team of people who are interested and believe in the protection of human rights, in all countries of the world, especially in countries where defenders are subjected to the most severe direct targeting campaigns.
